Eltroxin is given when the thyroid does not produce enough of this hormone on its own.
It is commonly used to treat hypothyroidism.
Keep out of the reach of children. It should not be used to treat obesity or weight problems. It may take several weeks before your pet starts to respond to this medication. Do not stop taking this medication suddenly. There are many other medicines that can affect Eltroxin. Consult a veterinarian before starting on the medication.
